PICKIN' STICK

NEW! - Stick Dulcimer
The Pickin’ Stick is the perfect instrument for anybody who wants to learn to play music. Even beginners can make terrific sounds right from the start because the Pickin’ Stick is so easy to play. You can just strum all the strings while fretting one of them and music occurs. People of any age can quickly learn and experience the joy of making music.

A stick dulcimer uses a diatonic scale - the notes of a major scale. There are no wrong notes so that everything you play sounds great. The strings are tuned in a drone relationship, G – D – G’, that makes a chord with any note fretted on the first string. As you progress, other simple chords come easily.

The Pickin’ Stick is also good as a beginning guitar trainer. A few months of playing a Pickin’ Stick makes learning guitar much easier, and gives new players the confidence that they can make some music and can learn to play an instrument.

Experienced musicians will use the Pickin’ Stick for composing or working out new riffs. In spite of being a simple instrument, it lends itself to a wide variety of sounds and musical styles.
